The USAID's IHSS-SD Activity, in collaboration with key stakeholders, held a meeting on implementing hospital TB linkages under the HTL initiative. Contech, being an implementing partner with JSI, led the event. This strategic initiative aims to enhance the detection, referral, and treatment processes for tuberculosis (TB) within hospital settings, addressing critical gaps in care delivery. The meeting brought together representatives from health departments, hospital administrations, and public health experts to discuss actionable frameworks for strengthening TB linkages.

Through this collaboration, the initiative seeks to integrate advanced diagnostics, improve patient tracking systems, and foster inter-hospital communication to ensure timely intervention and comprehensive care for TB patients. Participants explored innovative approaches, including leveraging technology and community engagement, to streamline processes and amplify the reach of TB services. This effort underscores USAID’s commitment to advancing public health resilience and supporting national and provincial health systems in combating TB effectively, with a focus on measurable outcomes and sustainable practices.
