Contech was a major national partner of a consortium consisting of Options Consultancy Services, Abt Associates, and Liverpool Associates in Tropical Health (LATH), which was hired by DFID and USAID to provide technical assistance in support of a National Health Facility (NHF) with the Government of Pakistan (GoP). The Technical Assistance Management Agency (TAMA) was formed for this purpose, and Contech provided technical assistance for various projects under TAMA, including VLMIS study, decentralization study, TA for advocacy and communication, evaluation and shortlisting of candidates for NHPU, development of quality control guidelines and monitoring program for microscopic diagnosis, and more. TAMA was also involved in strengthening the district health system through supervision of LHWS, reporting of T.B drugs stock-out, and individual study assignments in various provinces of Pakistan. Contech provided technical assistance for several projects in Punjab, Sindh, Baluchistan, and NWFP/KP, such as developing PC-1 form for Malaria, providing technical assistance for logistic management LHW Program, revision of GAVI EPI PC-1, and more. Additionally, Contech provided technical assistance for social mobilization for routine EPI and revision of GAVI EPI PC-1 in NWFP/KP.
